In our kitchen alone, we have a set of ceramic plates, a teapot and a ceramic tea strainer. We are very fond of these items since the material makes it easy for them to be cleaned. As a matter of fact you can use a dishwasher to tidy things up for you, and microwaving any items made of ceramics is definitely a safe thing to do.
